Marketing Comms guru – what does that even mean?

Welcome to my first blog post.

It’s not my first ever – but it is for my own specific blog

Calling myself a marketing guru hopefully doesn’t feel pretentious but instead I can share my knowledge and experience of the past 17 years.

So what is a guru?  Someone who knows their stuff and has achieved a high level of success.

Here is a brief rundown of what I’ve done and what I’m doing now.

So currently I am the Marketing and Comms lead for the Humanitarian Leadership Academy and I look after the brand and comms on a global level. I have a fantastic team and a charity that is only two and half years old – we are growing a huge audience – half a million followers on social media alone.

I’ve also been responsible for brand, marketing, advertising and communications for a number of other charities including Save the Children, British Heart Foundation, No Smoking Day and a few others.
